ย Context Under the overall supervision of the Head of Sub-Office, and with direct administrative and technical supervision of the National Peace, Transition and Recovery Coordinator, and direct technical guidance of Sr. Peace, Transition and Recovery Project Assistant, the successful candidate will be accountable and responsible for supporting the field implementation of the transition and recovery projects, especially initiatives that aims to achieve broader and long-term stability and to prevent, mitigate, and reduce the drivers and effects of displacement and forced migration in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and its neighboring areas, in ย line with IOM policies, standards, and commitments.
- Support the program team in the quality implementation of information management relevant to supportingย displacement tracking matrix (DTM) activities and field assessments, involving multi-layered data collection techniques to gather timely information about displacement (conflict and natural hazards induced) and other human mobility issues.
- Assist in managing and maintaining datasets related to demographic and socioeconomic profiles of communities, displacement trends, needs and gaps, IDPsโ perception and preferred solutions to help inform IOMโs community stabilization and durable solutions programming.
- Support in the development of analysis based on the datasets and gathered information through snapshots, infographics and briefers.
- Assist administrative and clerical tasks such as preparing necessary travel and procurement requisitions, documents, materials and resources for smooth execution of planned activities.
- Support the consolidation and updating of means of verification and documentations including project activity reports, human interest stories, documentations on best practices and challenges, photo documentations, project data sets, in accordance with IOM and donor requirements.ย
- Support the operationalization of the Accountability to Affected Population (AAP) mechanism and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) strategies for the project.ย
- Participate and provide support to necessary assessments, information verification or validation, updating and feedbacking, and monitoring in line with program implementation deliverables and in coordination with project partners.
- Undertake duty travels in support of the programme and perform other duties that may be assigned. Education
- Bachelorโs degree on Information and Data Management, Communications, Community Development, Peace and Development, or a relatedย fieldย fromย anย accreditedย academicย institutionย with a minimum threeย yearsย ofย relevantย professional experience.
- High School degree from accredited academic institution with at least five years of relevant professional experience. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experience in developing snapshots, infographics and briefers for data analysis.
- Experience in field data collection, data management and community engagement
- Work experience on humanitarian, development and/or peacebuilding nexus projects is an advantage.
- Work experience and knowledge of BARMM context, post conflict settings, and on Mindanao protection issues is an advantage. Skills
- Field implementation skills on data collection and analysis related to peacebuilding, community stabilization, and socioeconomic development in armed conflict affected areas.
- Sound writing, documentation, and project reporting skills.
- Knowledge on migration/human mobility issues, data protection, and field coordination. Languages
