Position Overview

The Development Associate is critical in supporting the continued growth and improved efficiency of fundraising efforts at Partners In Health. The Associate is responsible for the external engagement clusterโ€™s moves management system, which encompasses all revenue-generating streams including individuals, corporations, foundations, and the public sector to build strong and nimble portfolios for all frontline fundraisers to achieve overall revenue goals. This role works closely with their research colleagues to ensure the swift progression of newly identified prospects within the prospect pipeline. The Development Associate also serves as a primary project manager for several key development and organization-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

Manages the moves management process and portfolio assignments in conjunction with the manager and senior director of prospect management and research. Develops and manages the entry practices and coding of this data in donor database. Works closely with the research team to help identify new prospects for qualification and manages assignment processes for portfolios. Maintains constituent data in the donor database for use by all development staff and assist with usage as needed.Supports the development departmentโ€™s collaboration with the finance team to develop accurate revenue projections to help inform financial forecasting. This consists of bi-annual portfolio reviews, monthly moves management meetings with each development officer and weekly reviews of the line of sight report.Develops and maintains ongoing, collaborative relationships with development staff including managing special projects for a variety of external teams. Collaborates with related teams to manage the revenue, gift review and portfolio management PowerBI reports, PowerApps and online ticketing systems.Serves as a cross-functional project manager for key initiatives across the organization as needed, including support for campaign planning and CRM conversion.


Qualifications

Bachelorโ€™s degree with at least 2-3 years of fundraising/development experienceUnderstanding of information management in a database structure, particularly the ability to manipulate and retrieve dataAbility to deal with confidential information in a sensitive mannerAbility to handle several projects simultaneously and re-prioritize as neededStrong experience with computers, online databases, and internet searchingRecord of showing initiative and independently setting up effective systems and workflows that meet outcome expectations in quality and timelinessStrong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to synthesize high volumes of data and write concisely. Ability to work well with diverse groupsExemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and countryInterest in social justice strongly desirable
