Support data collectors to improve the data quality and accuracy and undertake quality assurance of collected data. โ€ข Technical Support: Support resolving and following up on technical issues raised by field teams and managing user profiles for various software packages. โ€ข Results-Based Monitoring System: Support timely and accurate data collection for indicators to meet Jordan Field Office reporting requirement. โ€ข Meeting Coordination: Assist in planning, coordinating and participating in meetings, including taking minutes when requested. โ€ข Any other related duties assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications/special skillsโ€ข Applicants must be students enrolled in or have recently completed (i.e. commencing the internship within one year of graduation date), either a graduate school programme (i.e. second university degree or equivalent degree, or higher) or the university degree programme (minimum bachelorโ€™s level or equivalent). โ€ข The field of study should be Information Technology, such as Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or another related field. โ€ข Applicants are not required to have professional work experience, although prior work experience will be an advantage. โ€ข Excellent IT skills, especially MS Word, MS Excel and MS PPT are required. โ€ข Work rights in Jordan: The applicant should have the right to work and reside in Jordan. Languagesโ€ข Excellent command of spoken and written English. Additional InformationBACKGROUND: The Protection Team at UNRWA Jordan Field Office (JFO) leads the safeguarding and promoting the rights of Palestine refugees. Protection ensures that humanitarian principles and standards are upheld across all UNRWA facilities and by all staff, fostering safe, inclusive, and gender-appropriate environments for refugees of all ages. On completion of the internship, the candidate will have gained: As a UNRWA JFO team member, interns will be involved in various programmes of the Jordan Field and will receive guidance, supervision, and on the job training on a regular basis. Through the assignment, interns will gain a good understanding and increase their knowledge of data and information management practices and approaches in Protection. Interns will also be able to develop a network of contacts within UNRWA. Interns will get exposure to the Humanitarian Principles (humanity, neutrality, impartiality, independence) and acquire knowledge of Refugees Protection in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: โ€ข Advanced IT Skills โ€“ focusing on data management and visualization, software applications. โ€ข Strong soft skills such as communication skills (different types of texts, communication channels, and audiences). โ€ข Creative and critical thinking. โ€ข Knowledge of Arabic is an asset. โ€ข Ability to manage the workload effectively.
