The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Center is looking for a competent, self-motivated, and dynamic candidate to join its headquarters in Battaramulla, Sri Lanka as Data Analyst \u2013 Finance.

The selected candidate will assume responsibility for addressing diverse data requirements within IWMI's financial and ERP systems. The primary focus areas encompass, but are not restricted to, ensuring data integrity, supporting data governance efforts, utilizing MS PowerBI for data visualization, and providing assistance with ERP data migration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assume accountability for maintaining data integrity across multiple application software, including the ERP system. Conduct data analysis to identify any data quality issues and take corrective measures to address them. Provide support for data cleansing and reconciliation across different systems. Utilize financial literacy skills to comprehend the context and significance of financial data, ensuring its accuracy. Offer guidance and assistance to the finance department on matters related to data governance. Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance tools and technological solutions. Condense extensive volumes of financial data into comprehensible and actionable insights, presenting them visually using MS Power BI to meet diverse management information requirements. Design and develop financial dashboards that adhere to various donor financial reporting requirements. Execute the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from one ERP system to another. Identify and communicate efficient methods, such as utilizing templates, for data collection, cleansing, and maintenance required for data integration and migration. Fulfill any additional duties and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data integration for complex business systems. Preferred experience in working with Financial and ERP systems. Desired experience with data migration and data migration tools. Proficiency in Advanced Excel and MS PowerBI is desired. Experience in data cleansing and performing quality assurance (QA) on data is desired. Demonstrated understanding of information systems, business processes, and the key drivers and metrics of success for the business. Knowledge of data storage, data backup/restore, and identity management is desirable. Preferred experience in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and scripts. Experience with automated test tools is desired. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, good judgment, and respect for others. Exhibits leadership qualities, adaptability, and integrity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Prior experience with the following products: SAP HANA Microsoft PowerBI, Power Automate, and Office 365 Anaplan UNIT4 Agresso Business World Proficiency in data cleansing, data preparation, data analysis, and data exploration. Expertise in statistical analysis & visualizing data. Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken. Experience in project management. Ability to facilitate effective communication between external consultants and internal stakeholders. Collaborative mindset and ability to coordinate with other departments. Proficiency in managing online meetings using MS Teams. Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize a diverse workload while meeting deadlines.

This is a nationally recruited position and only candidates who are eligible to work in Sri Lanka will be considered. The duration of the contract will initially be for a period of three years.
