Background information:
The Cybersecurity Consultant will provide support to UNICC clients and partners, to run cybersecurity programmes and initiatives delivered by the Cybersecurity Division, with guidance from the head of Cybersecurity Strategy and Solution Unit (CSS).
As part of United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC)โs commitment to providing comprehensive cybersecurity services to its clients, the Cybersecurity Division (CS) is establishing a dedicated program for our partner organizations. This program aims to deliver top-tier cybersecurity solutions and services, manage client expectations, and maintain financial oversight for multiple services under its umbrella.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The incumbent will report to the Head, Cybersecurity Solutions and Strategy Unit (CSS). The Cybersecurity Consultant will collaborate in the planning, implementation, and execution of Security Blueprint for our clients and partners. The individual will contribute to ensure the programโs alignment with the clientโs security goals, delivering solutions and services on time and within budget while maintaining financial sustainability.
Leadership:
Under the guidance of the Head, CSS, collaborate in the implementation and follow-up of the Blueprint program, ensuring the successful delivery of agreed-upon services Coordinate with the client and service owners within UNICC, particularly the Cybersecurity Division, regarding program-related matters Under the guidance of the Head, CSS, collaborate in the monitoring og the programโs overall progress, budget, timeline, and scope by working closely with the Section Chief Information Management Services Section or their delegate, from UNICC or its clients and partnersPerformance and Risk Management
Following the unitโs best practices, monitor program performance, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices, frameworks, and emerging trends Adapt to the clientโs policies and frameworks for project management and risk managementImplementation and Delivery
Under the guidance of the Head, CSS, supervise and coordinate the implementation of the projects Analyze and propose improvements to the Blueprint for cybersecurity to enhance our clientsโ cybersecurity posture Collaborate in the delivery of cybersecurity solutions designed to mitigate cybersecurity risksCompliance and Advisory
Following the unitโs best practices, advise clients on compliance with relevant best practices, regulations, and standards Ensure that program deliverables align with established cybersecurity governance frameworksStakeholder Engagement
Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and external vendors Collaborate in the delivery of periodic status updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholdersOther
Recruitment Profile
Experience and Skills required:
Essential:
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in service delivery with a focus on cybersecurity, including delivery of complex cybersecurity controls and capabilities Hands-on experience implementing and managing cybersecurity solutions and frameworks and project management Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to cybersecurity Experience in establishing and reporting on KPIs and success criteria Previous experience collaborating with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders in a professional setting Ability to handle high-stakes situations with diplomacy and confidenceDesirable:
Exposure to multi-stakeholder environments, such as international organizations or large enterprises Knowledge of emerging cybersecurity trendsEducation:
Essential:
Advanced university degree (or equivalent educational qualifications) in Cybersecurity or related field A first university degree and an additional 4 years of work experience relevant to the vacancy may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degreeDesirable:
Relevant professional certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, ect. Specialized certifications or advanced training in one or more of the following areas: Governance, Risk, and Compliance Cloud security Data protection and privacyLanguages:

Compensation:
Fee will be based either on the National Officer salary scales or the Individual Consultancy band levels (for Headquarters)
