About the Philippines Programme of People in Need:

In the Philippines, we are operating in some of the most impoverished and climate-vulnerable areas of the country such as Mindanao and Tawitawi Island, to provide access to livelihood, disaster alert dissemination and green energy. Through this, we aim to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities and their ability to cope with the consequences of future disasters. We also support small local CSOs in the Caraga region and BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao) strengthening their role in public decision-making processes. We aim to support governance and development processes in the Philippines to become more inclusive, transparent, and accountable to its citizensโ€™ needs.
