The consultancy will run for a period of three months starting from June through August 2023. During that period, the external consultant(s) will engage with the team at three points: (i) at the onset of the consultancy to demonstrate their understanding of the Terms of reference (Torยดs), present the proposed methods and budget for process evaluation to ensure that the objectives of the evaluation are achieved; (ii) towards the data collection to validate the data collection tools and identify key respondents for interviews; (iii) towards end of the consultancy period to present the preliminary findings from the process evaluation activity. The final evaluation report needs to be available in September 2023. The midpoint process evaluation will inform the adjustments that need to be made during the second half of the implementation of the initiative.

Requirements We are looking for a senior consultant with a master's degree or PhD in agricultural economics, agriculture, social science with experience in climate change, science environment, policy, among others.

The consultant should have experience working in Africa (especially Eastern Africa), and experience working with the CGIAR in the recent past.
