Background:

The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) will conduct two related evaluation studies within the Food Security Response and Resilience Project (FSRRP) in Yemen, which is endorsed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), World Bank (WB), World Food Program (WFP), Social Fund for Development (SFD), and Small Micro Enterprise Promotion Service (SMEPS). IFPRI will conduct an impact evaluation measuring the impact of the value chain interventions on agricultural production, food security, and resilience capacity of beneficiaries and will measure household resilience trends over time for beneficiaries of all interventions in the Food Security Response and Resilience project.

Activities:

The consultant will support the projectโ€™s research and data collection-related activities in Yemen including: supervising the rollout of fieldwork activities and data collection alongside the survey firm in the Northern and Southern governorates of Yemen; monitoring incoming data for quality assurance; assisting with data cleaning and reporting on all activities; assisting with data analysis; leading the generation and evaluation of the resilience indicators used; providing general project support.

The consultant will attend the necessary meetings throughout the planning and implementation phases. The consultant may also be required to attend discussions related to data collection approvals and permissions as advised by IFPRI, FAO, and the survey firm. Some international travel may be required.
