Your responsibilities

The Web and Authoring section of the IT-PW group provides services around Web content and application publishing, such as SharePoint Online, as well as software development tools for version control, such as GitLab.

You are a Computing Engineer interested in contributing to the enhancement of the Web Services infrastructure.

By joining us, you will:

Work closely with other members of the Web Services unit, as well as stakeholders across the organization, to identify and address business requirements in particular related to the SharePoint Online infrastructure.Ensure the SharePoint Online environment's security, availability, and performance by implementing best practices and regularly monitoring and optimizing the system.Identify areas for improvement and desirable new functionality with the CERN user community.Support SharePoint Online site owners and ensure a great user experience.

Your profile

Skills and/or knowledge

Experience working with Web Services and Containers technologies.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Knowledge of SharePoint Online administration and PowerShell is a plus.Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in Software Engineering (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a fellow or graduate contract before.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
