Job Description
You will join the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) Project Office within the dedicated Procurement, Baseline Documentation, Quality, and Risk team. The team's focus is to ensure the installation and endorsement of strict quality assurance throughout the HL-LHC project and the preparation of industrial contracts for the project.
You will be responsible for supporting and guiding both CERN members and external collaborators (including industrial contractors) on the fulfillment of the HL-LHC Quality plan. By maintaining these strict quality assurance standards, you will help enable the transition to a high-luminosity accelerator capable of collecting unprecedented levels of physics data and advancing scientific progress.
Your responsibilities:
Oversee quality for production and installation activities involving contractors, collaborators, and internal CERN teams.Manage the project baseline by defining requirements and change requests.Control and track compliance through the management of deviations, non-conformities, and detailed records.Drive continuous improvement by conducting audits and implementing corrective and preventive actions.Administer project assets and create internal documentation reviews of design and manufacturing components.Develop KPIs and lessons learned for procurement and other project activities.Register and monitor risks.Your profile:
Knowledge of quality processes and standards applicable to electro-mechanical production, including procedures and measurements.Experience in managing industrial contracts, contractors, and/or collaborations for electro-mechanical components, from the production and/or quality side.Skills:
Ability to work in teams and be at ease with theoretical but also very practical work to support the HL-LHC members in their daily duties.Data analysis, preparation of KPIs, and assessment.Microsoft Office for project management purposes.Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the basics of the other language.Eligibility criteria:
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in Engineering (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Additional Information
