CIMMYT seeks to recruit a Communication Officer who will be working for Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia-Mechanization and Extension Activity (CSISA-MEA) in SAS Program. The selected candidate will report to the Communications Coordinator, CIMMYT Bangladesh.
The duty of post will be Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Communication and knowledge dissemination initiatives for CSISA-MEA; Develop creative concepts and promote the work of CSISA-MEA; Create and implement an annual communication calendar; Document and communicate project news, updates and stories for wider dissemination; Document stories for dissemination in suitable formats (interviews, photographs, video) to target audiences; Assist technical people in preparing scientific posters, presentations, and other materials; Support networking and engagement activities with other actors in Bangladesh โ as a specific contribution to the projectsโ wider alignment and scaling objectives; Oversee the activities related to the production of high quality communications materials, including, digital content, reports and reviews, newsletters ,publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other material that communicates the organizationโs activities, products and/or services, etc; Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists and maintain local media and media database. Proficiency in design and publishing software. Work with printing house, media house, television channel or radio etc; Management of online supporters through social media; Manage photo and video content; Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.Academic and professional skills:
Contract period: The position is for Bangladesh Nationals for an initial fixed-term contract of 1-year with 3 months probationary period, which further employment is subject to performance and the continued availability of funds.
