A very exciiting opportunity to ย join our team in NRC Ukraine. We are looking for national Ukranian Communication and Media Officer who will provide direct support to the Communications and Media Coordinator in the implementation of NRCโ€™s internal and external communication initiatives. In particular, drafting, editing and translating communications materials, social media management and monitoring of campaign coverage.ย 

Implement delegated communication function portfolio according to the plan of action Prepare and develop status reports as required by management Contribute toย the identification of specific protection risks and needs analyses Contribute to designing of protection response to identified risks and needs. Gather audio visual content,ย written stories and case studies of NRC activities for the development of public and/ or internal information materials. Administer NRCโ€™s communications channels (mail, Facebook messenger). Support the implementation of a social media strategy that aligns with NRC goals, including the preparation of social media posts, calendarย and performance analytics. Provide support to programmes vis-ร -vis developing and disseminating quality public information materials. Assist with drafting, translating and proofreading booklets, brochures, leaflets, reports, infographics and other materials.ย  Assist the Media and Communications Coordinator with the development of high-quality visibility products. Edit photos, infographics or other visual materials as required. Monitor national and international media.ย

Min 2 years of experience in communications, media and public information. Experience in humanitarian, civil society, government, human rights sectors would be an asset.ย  Bachelor's degree or Higher education in a field ofย in journalism/communication, political studies,ย human rights or any relevant subject orย demonstrated relevant experience in lieu of official academicย background.ย  Experience in social media management and media monitoring tools. Proficient knowledge of Ukrainian. Advanced knowledge of English would be an advantage. Experience in translation and interpretation would be an advantage.ย  Knowledge of photo and video management software (Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, etc) would be an advantage. Pro-active approach and willingness to learn.
