About this position:

We are searching for a highly skilled team member to support DSP/SPKโ€™s goals in aligning knowledge actions with business priorities, driving change initiatives to meet knowledge management objectives, raising awareness, promoting a knowledge sharing culture, and supporting all knowledge champions.

The Strategic Planning and Knowledge Division provides the backbone to articulate and deploy strategic priorities across the Group. At its core, the function creates value for the organization through well-defined objectives: (i) providing leadership in the development of corporate, institutional, and country strategy, including assessment of frontier issues; (ii) directly adding value to individual business units by working with them to develop and implement the strategic direction provided by IDB Invest core strategic documents (e.g., business plan, country strategies); (iii) creating value by coordinating different parts of the organization: realizing synergies between business units, encouraging the sharing of best practices or providing centralized shared services (e.g., planning support); (iv) adopting the role of corporate navigator; identifying interdependencies and enabling strategic decision-making; (v) leading IDB Investโ€™s efforts to become a knowledge driven institution with a focus on internal knowledge management; (vi) coordinating the identification, mapping, generation, recording, retention and dissemination of knowledge across the organization; (vii) articulating and generating actionable country-focused knowledge.

The Change Management Consultant will report to the Chief of Strategic Planning and Knowledge Division under the Strategy and Development Department.

  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management initiatives in relation to current and future knowledge initiatives.
  • Develop launch and communications plan(s) associated with rollout and maintenance of knowledge management solutions to increase their adoption by users. Knowledge management solutions include an institutional search engine (Knowledge Engine) and an institutional publication workflow.
  • Propose actions for internal audiences to incorporate the knowledge generated by IDB Invest (lessons learned, analytical work) in their daily work.
  • Design a strategy to evolve the knowledge champions into an influencing network for knowledge management.
  • Lead and coordinate content development (must be comfortable and proficient with translating (technical) information from multiple sources into friendly and easy-to-consume content, targeted for specific audiencesโ€™ consumption)
  • Partner with the Communication and Marketing team to ensure consistency of the branding and design of our solutions. Work with the Communication team to convey high-impact messages to support change initiatives across a diverse range of channels.
  • Propose communication initiatives to strengthen awareness of knowledge sharing benefits, behaviors, processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Integrate change management activities into overall project/initiative plans. Provide training and support as required.
  • Conduct impact analyses for capital projects, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the defining and measuring success of metrics and monitor the adoption of knowledge management solutions, including KPIs
  • Work closely with stakeholders and initiative/project teams to ensure alignment with identified knowledge management goals and objectives.
  • Participate in knowledge management and strategy related initiatives as requested by the Division Chief.

    What youโ€™ll need:

    • Education: Masterโ€™s degree or advanced degree in business, communication, organizational development and transformation or equivalent required.
    • Experience: 5 yearsโ€™ experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
    • Language: Oral and written professional proficiency in English and Spanish is required; knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.

      Knowledge and Skills:

      • Knowledge of change management principles and best practices

      • Familiarity with knowledge management tools, techniques, and practices
      • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into actionable initiatives.
      • Understanding of the Agile and UX principles.
      • Experience working on graphic design projects and creative direction assignments.
      • Change management certification is a plus
      • Strategic thinker. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others at all levels of an organization. Ability to clearly articulate messages and effectively communicate to a wide variety of audiences. Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances

        Requirements:
