Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the Economic Empowerment Manager, the Career Development and Financial Empowerment Supervisor supervises the development and implementation of career pathways programming. The supervisor will ensure IRC achieves program targets relating to enrollment, economic empowerment outcomes and connection to community benefits and resources.

Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to:

Staff Management:

Provide leadership, development support and supervision to direct service staff; providing individual supervision, coaching and goal setting; managing workload and prioritizing tasks; and helping staff troubleshoot challenges. Ensure compliance of self and employment team with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency.

Client Services:

Supervise and oversee the implementation and management of the Career Pathway Program to ensure all program requirements and IRC standards of care are met. Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with area employers to identify appropriate career opportunities for clients. Supervise the Financial Capabilities team to ensure the assessment and resolution of clientsโ€™ financial challenges as they move into career paths. Ensure the Financial Team educates and assists clients in reaching financial health and the owning of proactive financial management. Track enrolled clients utilizing proprietary database systems to ensure services are provided in a timely manner and properly documented. Maintain close communication with staff regarding challenging cases and carry out timely, professional interventions to ensure appropriate service delivery. Identify opportunities to create business development opportunities. Supervise the development of workshop materials or the tailoring of existing materials to meet the needs of the community.

Program Oversight:

Design, implement, and provide monitoring and evaluation oversight for career pathways. Ensure that information required for program eligibility for all career programs and reporting purposes is collected and that accurate records are maintained, including case files and client data entry. Ensure all programs fulfill funder and agency requirements for documentation, case files, data tracking and other areas of administrative compliance. Coordinate quality assurance efforts by conducting periodic case file and electronic data reviews. Monitor progress towards programmatic performance requirements and encourage the employment team towards these goals. This includes program implementation, oversight, monitoring and evaluation for all grants in the portfolio. Produce high-quality program reports for IRC headquarters and funders in a timely manner. Assist in grant writing activities and development of new program opportunities.

Team/Office Participation:

Participate in program meetings, staff development activities. Work as part of a team to provide comprehensive, strength-based services to IRC clients through coordination of cases and effective communication between team members and departments. Represent IRCโ€™s Economic Empowerment program in the local community; develop and maintain strategic partnership with community organizations such as: financial opportunity centers, housing agencies providing pathways to home ownership, workforce boards, chamber of commerce, small business experts, community colleges and other providers of workforce education services, employer partners, mentors, key donors, and other relevant stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.

Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Internal: Collaborate closely with other departments where there is overlap in client caseload, including communication with Caseworkers, Education and Learning team and Immigration team. Coordinate with Finance, Community Relations and Development teams as needed.

External: Community-based organizations for referrals and employment opportunities.

Job Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, or related field is required; advanced degree preferred At least two years of related professional experience required, with workforce development program experience strongly preferred Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines Ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English; bilingual ability is preferred

Working Environment:

A combination of standard office environment 3 days in- office, remote work, and โ€˜fieldโ€™ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
