We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Capacity Strengthening Technical Manager for the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project.
Job Summary:
The Capacity Strengthening Technical Manager will support the design and implementation of capacity development initiatives for civil society organizations (CSOs) implementing HIV projects in Indonesia. He/she will be responsible for leading, developing, managing, and documenting all capacity building strategies/approaches; and for strengthening capacity of CSOs, relevant government units and other stakeholders in a structured, systematic and effective manner under the EpiC project.
Accountabilities:
- Lead EpiCโs organizational capacity strengthening strategy across different pathways of organizational performance
- Customize organizational capacity strengthening technical assistance based on an organizationโs unique needs, preferences, and goals
- Support the design and implementation of capacity needs assessments, using the USAID-endorsed Organization Performance Index (OPI), and track progress made through collaborative capacity strengthening assistance
- Organize and facilitate capacity strengthening peer learning and sharing forums
- Coordinate the design and implementation of curricula, interactive training interventions, and individualized technical assistance for local institutions, partners and stakeholders
- Identify and establish partnerships with capacity strengthening technical assistance organizations from Government, CSO and private sectors
- Work with local organizations to understand the range of sustainable and equitable financing opportunities available
- Support and guide local partners as they transition to direct USAID funding
- Throughout the projectโs life, monitor and report on the organizationsโ progress on achieving capacity development benchmarks, identify potential weaknesses and make necessary adjustments to close gaps
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least a Masterโs degree or its international equivalent or higher in public health, international development, business administration or a related area
- At least 10-15 years of professional experience in public health or development programming, providing capacity-building supporting Indonesia or the region
- At least 7 years of professional experience in project management and leadership, including experience in managing USAID projects and staff
- Proven experience working with key Indonesian stakeholders such as the GoI, namely the Ministry of Health, parastatal organizations, NGOs, CSOs, and private sector financing bodies
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to plan, organize, and manage resources for successful completion of projects
- Experience applying co-creation or other collaborative strategies for capacity strengthening aims
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; fluency in Bahasa required.
