Purpose of Job:
This is a two-year FTC within the Data Management team, but specifically dedicated to the needs of the Donor Funds Programme. The role will support the Programme in executing core analytical activities, aligned to key data management and information technology processes in the Bank.
Duties of the role:
Standardised Donor Reporting:
- Assist PO in mapping donor/fund reporting requirements.
- Support PO in developing standardised templates for project, programme, and fund level reporting.
Enhance Portfolio Management Reporting:
- Work with IT to enhance speed, reliability and coverage of existing reporting assets.
- Work with PO to ensure report fields match existing data terminology.
- Where required, work with key SMEs to define data terminology where it does not currently exist.
Enhance Data Availability and Quality:
- Assist the lead in developing a data roadmap, summarising data sources and proposed system architecture changes.
- Identify top data quality issues and create an action plan to address them.
- Aid the lead in defining data products for CSG and Donor, including target reporting/data requirements, gap analysis, and relevant data models.
Other Work:
- Support data migration efforts (e.g., TCRS) by establishing data quality processes/rules and requirements.
- Ensure cohesive data flow from upstream to downstream, allowing for consolidated and integrated reporting across systems and domains.
- Contribute to the discovery for backlog work scheduled to start in 2025, such as the digitisation of compliance processes.
- Analyse, advise and document data change requests that impact critical applications, interfaces and reporting constructs in EBRD data landscape.
- Play a lead role in the change request lifecycle from initiation through to production deployment including participating in key activities such as testing and acceptance into service.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge:
- Demonstrated knowledge of business analysis skills such as requirements elicitation, articulation of functional requirements, test scenarios, release notes etc.
- Knowledge of Data Management as a discipline and its organisational benefits
- Awareness of Agile methodology
- Good understanding (or ability to gain this knowledge) of EBRD activities and priorities (in terms of clients, products, funding and processes). Understanding of financial products and back-office systems and processes preferable
- Specific experience of the EBRDโs donor funding systems and processes would be highly advantageous
Experience:
- 3+ yearsโ experience as a Business data analyst or Business analyst
- Demonstrated expertise in business and data analysis in key projects in waterfall or agile methodology.
- Proven experience of engaging with and maintaining positive working relationships with individuals at all levels across an organisation.
Skills:
- Excel
- IBM Cognos
- SQL Server and/or Oracle SQL
- Tableau
- Alteryx Designer or similar data workflow tooling
Qualifications:
- Degree / professional qualification or equivalent work experience.
