Purpose of Job

Analyst is responsible for assisting CSE team in facilitating engagement with non-governmental organisations, (NGOs) and other civil society stakeholders at an institutional level and, under the guidance of the Head and/or Principal/Associate Manager. He/she also assist with the CSE members in designing and implementing Technical Cooperation (TC) projects and coordinating project and policy related information disclosure and correspondence. The Analyst also assists the team in organising consultations and outreach events at Resident Offices (ROs) and Headquarters (HQ).

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

โ€ข Conducts background research and drafts analytical pieces for internal briefings on CSO issues to be presented to senior management and Board.
โ€ข Assists CSE members in initiating, maintaining and expanding relations with CSO contacts across EBRD region. Conduct research for background checks of civil society organisations.
โ€ข Identify and network with new CSOs and local and international counterparts dealing with civil society issues to respond to the changes in the CSO sector and ensure that relevant organisations receive accurate information about the Bankโ€™s activities and operations in the region.
โ€ข Verify, update and expand the database of CSO contacts and maintain CSO information request database;
โ€ข Technical Cooperation Projects:
- Assist the team in developing, coordinating and implementing TC projects across EBRD region devoted to capacity building enhancement of CSO, including administrative and technical aspects including to;
- Establish and maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all TC projects on TCRS and the J drive, including recording key documents, contact details and notable communications
- Coordinate follow-up actions on Grant Review comments
- Prepare and submit internal and external requests for funding
- In close cooperation with PODD, manage the procurement process of TC projects, including the preparation of relevant documents and contracts
- Coordinate with consultants to ensure the timely submission of deliveries and subsequent administration of payments
- Coordinate the timely submission of progress and completion reports to DP,
- Coordinate and process contract amendments and extensions
โ€ข Management of data recording and analysis of correspondence in line with the Access to Information Policy;
โ€ข Monitor and manage the CSO Inbox
โ€ข Communication: Under limited supervision, prepare regular communications products, such as a quarterly CSO Newsletter and annual factsheets, provide updates for web pages, social media platforms and intranet pages on a regular basis;
โ€ข Coordinate internal communications within VP3 and with other teams as required;
โ€ข Conduct media and social media monitoring of issues of relevance for civil society.

โ€ข Graduate experience in a relevant environment/institution.
โ€ข Relevant work experience, TC, knowhow and knowledge of the Bank.
โ€ข Good research, analytical and drafting skills.
โ€ข Sound interpersonal and co-ordination skills.
โ€ข Excellent written and spoken English and good knowledge of one or more regional languages essential.
โ€ข Computer Literate: Windows XP (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
