Analyse, identify and address strategic, operational and/or technical issues related to the Master Plan in full coordination with Digital Transformation Office (DTO) experts, relevant SJU teams, projects and programme managers. Participate in the review of the SESAR Joint Undertaking (SJU) Master Plan relevant activities and processes, make recommendations and contribute to WGs, workshops, etc. Coordinate with SJU in order to anticipate any requirements for industrialisation in iNM coming from the SJU and SESAR Deployment Manager, for example via the Master Plan after Wave 3 (2026+). Implement risk management and monitor critical mitigation actions on key elements of the Master Plan to be aligned with the iNM digital roadmap. Contribute to quantifying the benefits of iNM in different performance areas and support the development of a future system to measure these benefits. Collaborate in promoting and communicating these benefits to stakeholders. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

Completed university studies of 4 years in a relevant domain (e.g. Aviation or Economics or Business) or of 3 years plus 1-year relevant professional experience. A Masterโ€™s degree would be an advantage. Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. In addition to the above, a minimum of 3 yearsโ€™ relevant professional experience including experience in ATM and SESAR JU activities. Experience in ATM, in a least one of the areas hereunder: Planning and reporting with the focus on ATM performance, and/or ATM/ANS performance frameworks, key performance areas and key performance indicators measurement, and/or performance management, data and benchmarking analysis related to ATM. Proficiency of the European ATM Master Plan. Experience and proficiency in the SESAR JU mechanisms and the European ATM Master Plan update process. Experience in cooperating with European and International Institutions and Organisations (such as SESAR JU, SESAR DM, European Commission, EASA, EUROCONTROL, ICAO) and with ATM stakeholders (such as ANSPs, airlines, airports). Understanding of ANSPs requirements. Recent experience acquired in an ANSP is considered an advantage. Risk & Project Management skills. Effective Stakeholder Engagement and Communication skills. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1/C2. The selected candidate will have to acquire, at least, a basic knowledge of French (level A1) before the end of the probation period.
The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 5 Year (s) pursuant to the provisions of the Staff Regulations governing officials at EUROCONTROL. The contract may be renewed up to a maximum of 9 years or converted into an undetermined contract. Before being established in the post, the selected candidate will be requested to provide certified copies of their degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months. The internal staff member with a determined contract will be offered, in principle, an appointment for 5 Year(s) with a maximum total duration of 9 years. The successful candidate shall be appointed at the grade set out in this vacancy notice, or if a group of grades has been published for a job level, in principle at the basic grade of the published job level.
