ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the worldโs largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. WFP is well known for its ability to deliver food assistance rapidly to people in need. In recent years WFP has experienced a paradigm shift in response to an evolving operating environment that requires the UN agencyโs technical expertise not only in the delivery of food assistance but also in the development of sustainable hunger-smart and nutrition-sensitive solutions that will support progress towards Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Two: โEnd hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agricultureโ.
We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of AI Integrations Consultant based in the Organization's Office of Inspections and Investigations (OIGI). The AI Integrations Consultant will be reporting to the Head of Digital Forensics.
THE ROLE:
The AI Integrations Consultant will be supervised by the Head of Digital Forensics and will assist in carrying out AI integration activities. The person selected will participate as a team member on projects under the guidance of the Head of Digital Forensics and with a certain degree of independence.
The AI Integrations Consultant is expected to:
Show the ability to think and articulate concisely.
Provide thorough and well-reasoned written contributions, reports, and recommendations promptly.
Show effective and timely interaction with colleagues and concerned parties internally and externally.
Conduct himself/herself professionally, keep confidentiality, and exercise due care in carrying out his/her work; and
Undertake the tasks following the standards of quality, style, and format used in OIGI.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority):
Within delegated authority, the AI Integrations Consultant will be responsible for the following duties:
Efficiently execute integrations of AI services with investigative processes and assist in developing AI and machine learning models into existing systems.
Support in coding and scripting tasks, primarily using Python, to automate workflows and enhance data processing capabilities.
Design automation and streamlining processes utilizing Microsoft Power Automate and Azure Logic Flow.
Help integrate APIs and ensure seamless connectivity between various software applications and platforms.
Lead the development of various projects utilizing Microsoft Azure services for deploying AI models and managing cloud resources.
Participate in the analysis and interpretation of data, assisting in creating insights and reports based on AI model outputs.
Document the development and integration processes, ensuring clear records for future reference and audits.
build mapping and processing workflows to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: University degree in Computer Engineering, AI, NLP, Machine Learning, App Development, AI, Business Intelligence, Business analysis or a related field.
Experience: Relevant experience or knowledge in AI, machine learning, Business intelligence, Business Analysis, Python coding, API integration, and Microsoft Azure
Language: Fluency (level C) in English language.
DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE:
Experience or knowledge in AI, Natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and various language coding.
Understanding of API integration and its applications.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and its AI services.
Background in computer engineering, AI, natural language processing, machine learning, app development, process mapping, or relevant experience is desired.
Ability to think and articulate concisely.
Effective interaction and collaboration with colleagues and external parties.
MORE ABOUT YOU:
Demonstrated expertise in AI and machine learning.
Skills in coding, particularly in Python.
Familiarity with API integration and cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure.
Ability to produce quality outputs and manage multiple tasks.
Solid communication and analytical skills.

WFP offers a competitive compensation package which will be determined by the contract type and selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
