Action Contre La Faim (ACF) has been operational since 2010 in Northeast and has been able to successfully implement integrated programs in Nutrition, Health, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) and Water, sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). Further the mission has expanded its programs in the wake of conflict in Borno state since 2017, focusing on long term sustainable programs focused on system strengthening for Health, WASH, Social Protection, and Agriculture sectors. The mission is currently in the process to launch response in the Northwest?Nigeria. In 2018,?ACF launched the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) in Nigeria in an effort to address the urgent humanitarian assistance to the displaced populations in Northern Nigeria. With this Approach ACF is among the lead agency that is currently reaching the NE &NW regions with Rapid Humanitarian assistance for to the conflict and other disaster affected population. Currently, without conspiring LGAs reached on RRM modality, ACF is providing an integrated humanitarian response in Yobe State (12 Local Government Areas (LGAs), Borno (11 LGAs), Bauchi (2 LGAs) and Jigawa (6 LGAs) with partial presence in Kano. Despite the remarkable achievements in humanitarian sector, ACF, as other humanitarian actors, has been continuously affected by the shrinking humanitarian space.
The mission currently employs 25 international and 345 national staff, working from the coordination office in Abuja, field offices in Maiduguri, Potiskum, Dutse and Bade to address the humanitarian needs of the population.
The Maiduguri Base is the largest base on the mission, implementing humanitarian interventions of WASH; FSL , Nutrition and Health, employing 182 staff. The Maiduguri base supports the Monguno and Damasak sub bases. The guesthouse is comfortable for international staff, there is curfew at 10:00pm, movements within Maiduguri town is not restrict but precaution measure have been put in place. Intenatiola staff currently are not allowed to spend the night in the sub-bases. Further all staff movements outside MMC/Jere is done only through UNHAS choppers, while movements outside the military trench in of the field office require HQ approval.

As a Project Coordinator you effectively manage and coordinate appropriately the project specific scope, schedule, resources, quality, risks, representation, coordination and contractual requirements.
More specifically:
- You ensure efficient, effective, quality and timely implementation of the entire projects under your supervision: as updating and implementing the Project Implementation Plan (PIP), finalizing and managing the Project Scope Documents (PSDs), developing and maintaining records of the project, initiating and overseeing needs and technical assessments within the scope of the project, ensuring contractual activities are completed on time, donor rules respected and budget properly follows up.
- You manage and develop the project team: as ensuring that all project staffs have full induction and briefings on projects, ensuring that staff and partners are aware of any project changes, ensuring staff are aware of Do No Harm and humanitarian principles and other codes of conduct, defining objectives and do evaluation of project team.
- You assist in wider organizational development through learning and proposal: as monitoring and reporting any areas of geographic/sectoral growth for the organization based on field analysis, contributing to overall project design.
- You manage external relations related to the project: as representing ACF in external meetings as requested, supporting HODs in sharing evidence of program impact and needs on the ground, promoting and defend humanitarian and ACF principles.
- You ensure project data management and reporting: as ensuring development of a data collection and entry plan complete with tools and timeline that is integrated into the PSDs and PIPs, ensuring quality production of respective reports.
- You manage and support to local implementing partners: as participating in the local partner selections processes, supporting the local partners on program launching and activity planning.
Votre profil
You have a degree in business administration, project management or any relevant field, preferably in international relations or humanitarian programs.
You have a significant experience with INGOs in insecure setting on projects coordination. A previous experience with ACF in emergency and post-emergencies an asset.
You have at least 4 years of experience in project cycle management at a senior level in an INGO.
You prove excellent management skills specially of large scale multisectoral programme (HR, projects, stress management) and you are able to organize, train and motivate a multicultural and multidisciplnary team.
You show excellent diplomatic and negotiation skills. You are disciplined and able to work independently.
You speak fluently in English and have excellent drafting and writing skills.
