About this position
The Accounting Policy, Trust Fund and Pension Reporting Group (ACC/PTR) within the Accounting Division is looking for an energetic, dedicated, and team-oriented professional with progressive experience in financial reporting to join the team as a Trust Funds Reporting Consultant.
ACC/PTR is responsible for the financial reporting and related internal controls of all donor trust funds resources under the Bankโs administration, including the IDB Lab and the Bank sponsored benefit plans and programs, ensuring compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.
What youโll do:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports related to trust funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal controls, including ICFR standards.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process of a portfolio of trust funds.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
- Work independently, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor progress for successful delivery.
What you'll need:
- Education: Masterโs degree or equivalent in accounting or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification highly desired.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.
Key skills:
- Knowledge of and experience with SAP General Ledger highly desired.
- Knowledge and experience in Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Citizenship[1]: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in selected countries(see foot note for selected countries)
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
- Remote Modality: The selected candidate will not provide services from the Bankโs office and will not be provided a physical space on the premises of the Bankโs Country Office. The candidate selected will be responsible for setting up the space, and for having the equipment, internet, and phone accesses to accomplish these TORs, outside the Bankโs office. Access to the Bankโs systems will be arranged in coordination with the Bank.
