About this position

We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive and confident Trade and Integration Consultant for the Caribbean region (six member states of the IDB: Bahamas, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago), based in Trinidad and Tobago. As a Trade and Integration Consultant, you will support the operational and strategic portfolio of the Trade and Investment Division of the IDB, and the staff members leading its supervision.

The Integration and Trade Sector (INT) advises management on trade and regional development issues, as well as overall Bank strategies and programs in these areas. It is also responsible for policy-relevant research on regional and global economic integration issues and trends, as well as specialized technical sector support to trade and integration-related operations and activities. The Trade and Investment Division (TIN) is charged with initiating and executing the sectorโ€™s operational portfolio.
