Your responsibilities

CERN's Talent Acquisition team has recently undergone significant restructuring to revamp its operating model and introduce a new graduate recruitment program. In the pursuit of excellence, we are seeking a talented Project Specialist to drive continuous improvement and streamlining of our recruitment-related processes and tools. This role entails a dual reporting line, where the Project Specialist will have reporting relationships with both the Head of Talent Acquisition and the operational team.

As a member of the Talent Acquisition Team, you will mainly be responsible for driving current and future TA projects and activities to enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience while maximizing operational efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Career Website Enhancement: Play an active role in overseeing and implementing improvements to CERN's career website, ensuring it serves as a valuable platform for candidates and hiring managers.

Technology Integration: Support the implementation of technologies that enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience (e.g. candidate search capabilities, chatbot enhancements).

KPI Development: Contribute to the definition and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of our talent acquisition initiatives.

Reporting and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I): Enhance reporting capabilities related to Talent Acquisition and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) to support data-driven decision-making; act as TA point of contact on reporting matters.

Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Support the timely adoption of ATS-related features by staying informed about the latest developments in recruitment technology and driving their implementation.

Project Roadmap: Contribute to defining a comprehensive project roadmap for Talent Acquisition, particularly focusing on technical and process improvements.

As part of your responsibilities, you will actively engage in day-to-day operational recruitment activities to gain insights into daily challenges and inform your project work:

Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, encompassing talent sourcing, assessment, and selection for a diverse range of positions (staff, graduates, and students) ensuring that CERN continues to attract the right talent.

Sourcing: Offer guidance on recruitment and sourcing strategies while leveraging suitable tools and online solutions to attract a diverse and high-caliber talent pool.

Qualifications

Skills and/or knowledge

Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Initial experience in Talent Acquisition projects including optimizing recruitment processes and workflows.Familiarity in technology and software applications related to talent acquisition.Initial experience in change management in a talent acquisition or HR setting.A passion for innovation and a strong interest in enhancing candidate and hiring manager experiences.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated experience in successfully managing end-to-end recruitment processes.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills within and outside TA; Understanding when teamwork is required to achieve the best results; including others accordingly and sharing information.Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in HR, BA or related field (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
