General Description of the Programme:

SENED is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization licensed and registered in Türkiye with the number 27-15-175. SENED Organization was established shortly after the Syrian Nakba and in response to the suffering of millions of Syrian refugees in Turkey as well as internally displaced people in Syria, with the aim of alleviating suffering, achieving justice, equality, and freedom, strengthening the role of civil society, and supporting and developing the local community. SENED works in the humanitarian work sectors to support, empower, and educate the community through several programs, and takes special care of people with disabilities and their families and defends their issues.

SENED Association emphasizes the need to create safe, accessible, and participation-encouraging living conditions for the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of individuals by focusing on the people with disabilities. Beyond the medical perspective on disability, it tries to find solutions to the problems faced by disabled people with a holistic perspective by considering the disabled people, their families, and the society they live in, focusing on the conditions they experience. SENED Association aims to create a safe and supportive environment and space by conducting family-oriented activities to help disabled individuals and their families to become stronger, discover their potential and stand by with their children. By collecting data on refugee disabled people, identifying problems and needs, SENED strives to ensure harmony between disabled refugees and local people with a voluntary, professional team and a community-based approach. In all activities, education, research, advocacy, etc. carried out on platforms created by local and disabled refugee people.

Job purpose:

To be responsible for managing MHPSS sessions and assessment for MHPSS attendees, MHPSS activities, conducting appropriate referrals to a psychiatrist if needed and protection services.

To provide psychological interventions based on the beneficiary’s needs and presenting complaints.

Draft, evaluate and organize MHPSS activities targeting earthquake affected population.

Provide supervision for PSS officers, and PSS workers.

Develop and supervise the implementation of MHPSS activities.

Duties, objectives, and competencies:

· Adhere to internationally recognized best practices for evidence based psychological interventions and the management of children with mental health concerns. This includes ensuring the confidentiality of beneficiaries and respecting their privacy.

· Establish a safe space to conduct private and confidential sessions acceptable to those on the site and safely accessible by beneficiaries.

· Assess the beneficiary’s needs and presenting complaints and develop a care plan with the beneficiary based on those needs, including referrals to other services

· Conduct counseling sessions for care providers and families of beneficiaries.

· Conduct follow-up sessions as needed and decide with the parents when to close the case.

· Provide age-appropriate culturally relevant individual and/or group psychological counselling for beneficiaries.

· Identify concerns related to and support adherence to referral protocols and guiding principles for PSS and bring these concerns to the direct manager or the Project Manager.

· Maintain an effective working relationship and regular communication with other PSS care providers.

· Complete daily/weekly MHPSS reports and data collection according to guidance provided by the PSS Technical Advisor and Project Coordinator.Adviser or project coordinator

· Collaborate with the rest of the team to exchange information and ensure that Sened projects are responding to the evolving needs of beneficiaries.

· Refer beneficiaries to other health professionals whenever necessary

· Provide psycho-education sessions to the family members of clients when needed

· Manage and supervise the PSS officers and workers and follow-up PSS project activities.

· Assign daily tasks to the case workers.

· Meet with case workers to discuss the challenges they face and different solutions and ways to overcome them.

· Meet with case workers periodically and assign daily tasks to them.

Requirements: Essential

Education: Having a master’ degree in psychology, clinical psychology, or relevant field

Experience:

at least 3years of professional experience

Flexibility for working in the field (containers, tent areas and rural areas), in all kinds of physical and climatic conditions

Language: Fluent in Turkish; Knowledge of Arabic and English is a plus.

Computer Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office, Windows-based applications
