The Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to our mission of saving lives and reducing the burden of disease in low-and middle-income countries. CHAI was founded in 2002 in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic with the goal of dramatically reducing the price of life-saving drugs and increasing access to these medicines in the countries with the highest burden of the disease. Over the following two decades, CHAI has expanded its focus. Today, along with HIV, we work in conjunction with our partners to prevent and treat infectious diseases such as COVID-19, malaria, tuberculosis, and hepatitis. Our work has also expanded into cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and other non-communicable diseases, and we work to accelerate the rollout of lifesaving vaccines, reduce maternal and child mortality, combat chronic malnutrition, and increase access to assistive technology. We are investing in horizontal approaches to strengthen health systems through programs in human resources for health, digital health, and health financing. With each new and innovative program, our strategy is grounded in maximizing sustainable impact at scale, ensuring that governments lead the solutions, that programs are designed to scale nationally, and learnings are shared globally.

Overview of CHAIโs Global HIV Access Program (HAP):
Since 2002, CHAI has been a leader in expanding and accelerating access to HIV treatment, reducing the cost of drugs and diagnostic tests, and strengthening the capacity of governments to help prevent and diagnose HIV and treat people living with HIV (PLHIV). CHAIโs simultaneous engagement on the supply and demand sides of the market, our end-to-end and holistic support to national HIV programs, and our partnership with affected communities is helping to address barriers that prevent people living in LMICs from accessing the best available treatment and prevention services.
Overview of Position:
This position entails leading the HIV Access Programโs operations, overseeing grant management and reporting for subgrantees, and strategically developing and implementing grant communications. The Senior Manager Operations will play a crucial role in establishing and executing effective systems for CHAI's subcontracting and subgrantee agreements. Reporting directly to the Associate Director, HIV, the Senior Manager will provide support to the Senior Director, HAP, and the Associate Director, Advanced HIV Disease to ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of program and grant operations.

The position is eligible for remote work and will be based on the US East Coast. The Senior Manager must be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
Lead grant management and reporting of subgrantees and consortium partners for key HIV treatment and AHD projects.Foster strategic collaborations with consortium partners and external stakeholders to strengthen project goals and facilitate cross-organizational coordination.Support the financial management of CHAI subgrantees ensuring compliance with CHAI and donor requirements.Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy for the THRIVE project to increase visibility of the programโs impact.Provide oversight for the production of internal and external communication products, including webinars, presentations, case studies, newsletters, internal briefing documents, and blog posts.Support end-to-end grant and project management for key HIV treatment and AHD grants, including donor engagement, development of grant management processes and systems, and development of reports and project proposals.Supervise a team of 2-3 operations staff responsible for project managing key HIV and AHD grants and managing overall operations for the HAP program.Support the HAP Senior Director and manage certain cross-cutting internal and external initiatives across the HAP Team.Serve as the primary point of contract within the HIV Access Program for coordinating with the CHAI Communications team in the development of external materials and content related to the HIV program.Coordinate and support HAPโs cross-team fundraising and donor engagement strategies, including new donor scoping and project managing proposal development for HIV treatment and AHD and opportunities that cut across HAP.Any other duties as assigned.Qualifications
