Environmental Health and WASH Research Group under the Health Systems and Population Studies Division has focused on determining and mitigating environmental pollution, evaluating WASH strategies for improved health, and generating evidence to understand the extent of environmental pollution and contamination in low-resource settings.
Position Description
The Senior Field Assistant will report to the Research Investigator and will be responsible for the field survey, screening of study subjects, motivating study people, project implementation, documentation management, technical support and team support with the objective of supporting research studies within the guidelines of project protocol and organizational values and guidelines. S/he will be involved in -
Receive project assignment from Supervisor and understand project scope, questionnaire, survey methodology, timelines, targeted respondents, areas, scope of work etc. as per project requirement; Collect Data /Sample from respondents; Identify and motivate respondents to participate in the study; Validate collected data with the supervisor; Process and transport sample to its destination; Take appropriate measures to ensure personal safety and security; Provide Administrative and logistics support as required; Escalate any issues to the supervisor for his/her guidance; Perform data entry (if required) and submit collected data to supervisor/data team; Organize and preserve different official documents/records/files; Orient new team members on study methods/machine operations; Provide all other necessary support services for conducting meetings, workshops/seminars, training programs, recruitment & selection processes etc. in the office as well as in the field sites.
Required qualifications and experience:
HSC or equivalent. At least 3 years experience in a relevant field.Location: WASH Field sites.

Contract Type and Duration:
Short Term Contractual Service Agreement basis; duration will be 3 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.Salary & benefits:
Tk. 30,292/-per month (consolidated) inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances; Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b, and subsidized canteen; Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.Notes of attention:
