Hereโ€™s where you come in:

As Senior Advisor - Operations, you will take a leadership role in expanding the food assistance portfolio by providing strategic guidance on how food and cash-based transfers can be used as a resource for responding to multi-sectoral needs facing the vulnerable communities resulting from a rise in food insecurity, malnutrition and livelihoods deficits across the region(s). With growing conflicts across the globe, the need for food and cash-based transfer assistance to save lives, serve as safety nets, address nutrition deficiencies and protect livelihoods continues to rise. You will play a primary role in providing advisory and operational technical guidance to World Vision Field Offices (FOs) in donor engagement and prepositioning, program design implementation and monitoring of food and cash-based transfer assistance and other multi-sector disaster management programs in emergency and recovery contexts.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in the field of Business, Business Administration, International Relations, Economics or equivalent and 15 years experience in humanitarian work (ten of which must be in food and cash-based transfer assistance project management) as a manager or director in a country office.
  • Experience with both relief and development settings.
  • Experience implementing and engaging with the major food and cash-based transfer (WFP, USAID/BHA, USDA, ECHO, etc.) and other UN donors (UNICEF, UNHCR, OCHA, FAO and UNDP) and regulations.
  • Experience in leading and directly supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of large-scale food and cash-based transfer and other multi-sector disaster management programming.
  • English is required; Spanish (highly preferred) and French preferred
  • At least 50% of travel including to fragile contexts/countries.
