Within IFC, the Corporate Risk Management Department (CRM) is responsible for risk management at a corporate level: this includes Capital Management and Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk and Business Continuity, Treasury Risk, and Investment Valuation.
CRMโ€™s Capital Management and Enterprise Risk Unit (CRMCA) measures the current and projected risks in IFCโ€™s investment portfolio to ensure IFCโ€™s ongoing financial sustainability. Doing so, CRMCA utilizes a variety of integrated risk models, such as for economic capital, capital forecasting, stress testing or risk-adjusted performance measurement, to develop and maintain IFCโ€™s risk management policies.ย 
CRMCA is conducting a search for a Risk Officer to join the stress testing team and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of IFCโ€™s stress testing model and frameworks.
Duties and Accountabilities:
โ€ขย  Participate in conducting IFCโ€™s corporate, geographic, and sector-specific stress tests, including the preparation and execution of stress tests, as well as the reporting of stress test resultsโ€ขย  Contribute to the development and/or validation of IFCโ€™s stress testing modelsโ€ขย  Maintain a current data set comprising all portfolio, risk and macroeconomic data required for stress testing purposes, consistently combining internal and external data sourcesโ€ขย  Support IT projects automating IFCโ€™s stress testing processesโ€ขย  Serve as a key contact for external scenario and data providersโ€ขย  Prepare and conduct outreach to inform stakeholders on IFCโ€™s stress testing capabilitiesย โ€ขย  Develop relationships with other departments to facilitate the stress testing programโ€ขย  Identify, and analyze potential risks in IFCโ€™s portfolioโ€ขย  Keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments in stress testing models and frameworks

Selection Criteria

โ€ขย  A Masterโ€™s or higher degree in finance, economics, mathematics (or equivalent quantitative skills).โ€ขย  8 years of work experience in risk management, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.โ€ขย  Substantial experience in conducting stress tests, and in developing and/or validating stress testing models.โ€ขย  Experience handling, analyzing, and aggregating large data sets (for example using Python, R, Excel, or other statistical applications) is a plus.โ€ขย  Proven experience in communicating with and adopting the communication approach according to the specific audience or stakeholder, such as investment teams, portfolio officers, technical experts, or senior management.โ€ขย  Knowledge of IFC operations and portfolio is a plus.โ€ขย  Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present technical issues in simple and straightforward terms.โ€ขย  A strong work ethic and a solid team player to work in the international and multicultural work environment within CRMCA and across the IFC; organizational skills and the ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines and work efficiently in multicultural teams.โ€ขย  Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and resourcefulness.
