    Purpose

    The Resource Mobilization Income Specialist is responsible for the preparation of standard and ad-hoc financial reports, dashboards and presentations for internal nd external use. S/he contributes to ensure the ICRC is accountable to its donors on how funds are spent and can track fundraising needs throughout the year.

    Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities

    • Prepares and keeps up to date all the standard financial information and presentations for internal and external use. These include financial tables and graphs for budget, expenditure, income, donors ranking, etc. (for Annual Report, Appeals, Audit Reports, etc).
    • Produces regular financial situation report to give REM units an overview of the financial situation of each context and to guide them in making proposals to their respective donors (including to the most chronically underfunded operations).
    • Provides REM_REP and Heads of Regional markets all financial figures for updates, budget extensions and funding proposals to donors.
    • Creates and designs new financial reports, dashboards or analysis based on ad hoc requests by using the more adapted query tools at disposal.
    • Oversees and manages pledges entered in the ICRC accounting system.
    • Prepares the text of Headquarters funding part of the Annual report with statistical and financial figures.

        • Internally, interact directly with REM_Markets, FAD.
        • Limited external interactions.

          Certifications / Education required

          • University degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or any related field, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) an asset.
          • Fluent in English, good knowledge of French. Any additional language an asset.
          • Computer proficiency.

            Professional Experience required

            • 4 years relevant experience in a relevant field; preferably in financial and analytical accounting, statistics.
            • Excellent knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, PowerPivot, etc), PowerPoint and as well Business Intelligence(BI) front end tools like Tableau, Hyperion Web Analysis Studio, Hyperion Smartview, or others.
            • Good knowledge of a CRM software (Customer Relationship Management) like D2D Pledge, Raiser Edge, or others.
            • Good knowledge of Oracle-Peoplesoft accounting system, preferably GL and AR modules.
            • Good knowledge as well of databases.
