Research Technician
ICRISAT seeks applications from dynamic Indian nationals as Research Technicians to support a project entitled ?Bihar Centre of Excellence for Millets Value Chain? to be implemented in the state of Bihar. The position is a part of the Global Research Program ? Accelerated Crop Improvement. This position is based at Mayapur village, Gaya, Bihar, and the incumbent will report to ICRISAT Headquarters, Patancheru, Telangana, India.

Responsibilities:
To attend all the field activities from sowing to harvesting, data collection, seed production and processing
Supervise labourers in crop production activities from planting to harvesting including seed processing
Organize for availability of farm laborers from nearby villages through local contractor
Regularly communicate updates and progress to the supervisor
Travel to different sites within Bihar State to conduct experiments and gather data
Performing any other project activities as advised by the supervisor
Requirement:
Graduate (biological science), preference will be given to those with experience of 2-3 years working on ICRISAT mandate crops germplasm
Familiarity with research operations, field demonstrations, field activities and monitoring
Ability to drive 2 & 4-wheeler and travel to other sites when required
Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
General:
This is a contractual role for a period of 36 months (3 years).
