Mission and objectivesThe overall mandate of WHO Iraq is to strengthen the countryโs health system and accelerate progress toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). WHO Iraq works closely with the Ministry of Health and partners to enhance health security, service delivery, and emergency preparedness while addressing public health priorities through evidence-based policies and interventions. WHO Iraq's flagship priority areas include: strengthening health systems, ensuring equitable access to essential healthcare, improving emergency preparedness and outbreak response, combating communicable and non-communicable diseases, and enhancing maternal, child, and adolescent health services. Additionally, WHO Iraq supports efforts to improve access to essential medicines, promote antimicrobial resistance prevention, and address environmental and mental health challenges. The main objective of WHO Iraqโs work is to build national capacities, promote policies, and provide technical guidance to improve health outcomes for all Iraqis while ensuring sustainable and resilient healthcare systems.
ContextThe World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with the Iraqi Ministry of Health, has developed the National HIV, Viral Hepatitis & Syphilis Testing Services Guidelines. These guidelines serve as a crucial framework for healthcare providers and policymakers in ensuring standardized, high-quality, and accessible testing services across the country. To enhance the usability, readability, and professional presentation of this document, we are seeking an Online Volunteer with expertise in document design, layout formatting, and visual communication. The redesigned version should align with WHO and MoH branding standards, ensuring a professional, polished, and user-friendly document that facilitates effective implementation. Task DescriptionThe three Online Volunteers will be responsible for improving the design, layout, and visual presentation of the National Guidelines. Specific tasks include: 1. Document Formatting & Layout Improvement. 2. Typography & Visual Design. 3. Tables, Figures & Graphics Enhancement. 4. Header & Footer Standardization: 5. Final Quality Check: Ensure cohesion, alignment, and professional aesthetics throughout the document under WHOโs team guidance.
