Description

The position is for a Dependability (RAM) and Safety Engineer for the ASECNA EGNOS project in the RAMS Section, Dependability and Product Assurance Support Division, Product Assurance and Safety Department, Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality. You will be assigned as integrated support to the EGNOS PA and Safety Unit (NAV-QR), PA&S Office, Directorate of Navigation.

Training and familiarisation with the parent Department's mandate, processes and procedures will be provided at the start of this assignment.

As Dependability (RAM) and Safety Engineer for the EGNOS project (ANGA system development), you will be deployed in the EGNOS PA and Safety Unit. You will report hierarchically to the Head of the EGNOS PA and Safety Unit, and functionally to the EGNOS Project Lead.

For the maintenance of professional standards, the implementation of the ESA general Product Assurance and Safety (PA&S) policy and contributions to corporate tasks (such as reviews, standardisation, alerts and lessons learned), you will report to the Head of the Product Assurance and Safety Department through the Head of the Product Assurance and Safety Office.

The EPO contribution to the ANGA system is an activity performed by ESA to provide support to a third-party international agency, ASECNA, for the development of this SBAS system, in line with an international agreement signed by ASECNA and ESA in 2022.
