Your responsibilities

CERN's IT department is looking for a Quantum Communication and Time and Frequency Engineer for CERN's Quantum Technologies Initiative, phase 2 (QTI-2). In this role you will be in charge of the deployment of:

A high precision Time and Frequency distribution network for CERN and the connections to National Metrology Institutes in Europe.Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) equipment and testing of new distribution protocols and technologies.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Quantum Technologies, Physics, Metrology (or a related field) by the application deadline.Your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Applicants without University degree are not eligible.Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
