Your responsibilities

The Web and Authoring section of the IT-PW group provides services around Web content and application publishing, including managing CERN's own general top level internet domain gTLD .CERN (https://www.iana.org/domains/root/db/cern.html).

You are a Computing Engineer interested in contributing to the enhancement of CERN's Web Services infrastructure? By joining us, you will:

Work closely with other members of the Web Services unit, as well as stakeholders across the organization, to identify and address business requirements in particular related to the top-level domain .CERNIdentify areas for improvement and desirable new functionality for supporting and further integrating the handling of the top-level domain .CERNImplement automation tools to the existing infrastructure and management utilities of the CERN Web infrastructure services.Work on dedicated functionality such as general public search for .CERN sites and extensions to the hosting mechanisms used for .CERN sites.

Experience working with Web Services and Containers technologiesStrong collaboration and communication skillsKnowledge of OpenShift Operator Framework, Go, Python, and Helm charts is a plusFluent in English

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software Engineering (or a related field) by the application deadline.Your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Applicants without University degree are not eligible.Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
