Project Finance Employee (m/f/x) full-time

(Temporary position for 2 years with the possibility of a permanent position)

THE JOB:

  • Carrying out project finance controlling and reconciliations for projects in various countries (including earthquake relief in Turkey) in the field of humanitarian aid and development cooperation
  • Participation in budget preparation
  • Review of project expenses of local partner organisations and of audit opinions
  • Ensuring the correct handling of projects according to internal & external guidelines (e.g. donor guidelines)
  • Preparing financial reports and proof of use of funds
  • Contact person for local partner organisations and project management regarding financial issues

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Completed studies in business management, finance or similar qualifications. Working experience in this field is desirable but not a pre-requisite.
  • Very good English language skills (spoken and written) and a satisfactory command of German coupled with a willingness to learn the language
  • Good MS Office skills and in particular very good excel skills
  • Independent and reliable way of working: Ability to manage financial aspects of projects as well as day-to-day work independently
  • Motivation to use your financial skills to make a positive impact
  • Interest in conceptual work and aptitude towards innovative thinking
  • High level of team and communication skills, flexibility, stress resistance
