ย Context
Under the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, the incumbent will support the implementation and further development of the harmonization portfolio under the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion Unit of IOM Turkiye, and will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the achievement of the objectives and results of the projects as well as successful day to day implementation of the activities under EU funded project โPromoting Sustainable and Socially Inclusive Labour Market Integrationโ.ย
Tรผrkiye hosts the largest refugee population in the world, with several million foreign nationals living in the country, including approximately 2,5 million Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTPs) and around 300,000 Persons under International Protection (PuIPs). Given the considerable size and diversity of the migrant and refugee population, providing means for their social and economic integration is a very challenging process for both national and local authorities. In response to the challenges, the โPromoting Sustainable and Socially Inclusive Labour Market Integrationโ project aims to increase formal employment of SuTPs, PuIPs and host community members and strengthen the harmonization process in Tรผrkiye.
1. Assist in the day-to-day implementation of project activities, maintaining compliance with IOM rules and donor requirements.
2. Collect, organize, and summarize information and data related to project activities, and prepare routine updates and background information for supervisors.
3. Monitor project expenditures, assist in budget tracking, and alert supervisors of any variances or required adjustments.
4. Provide administrative and logistical support for project implementation, including preparing documentation, coordinating with internal units, and liaising with external partners when required.
5. Draft simple correspondence, meeting notes, and routine reports related to project activities; support the preparation of more detailed reports by compiling inputs.
6. Assist in the organization of meetings, training sessions, and workshops, including preparation of materials, logistical arrangements, and note-taking.
7. Support the preparation and adaptation of training materials and modules, including compiling inputs, formatting, and finalizing documents.
8. Assist in monitoring training activities, including the administration of pre- and post-training evaluation tools and compiling results.
9. Maintain proper project files and records (both electronic and hard copy), ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
10. Assist in liaising with local authorities, partners, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders as instructed by supervisors.
11. Monitor activities of implementing partners at the field level and report observations or challenges to supervisors.
12. Provide general assistance in the development of project tools, templates, and standard operating procedures under the guidance of senior staff.
13. Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Education
โข High school diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,
โข Bachelorโs degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution, with three years of relevant professional experience.

โข Experience in assisting project implementation, administrative support, or coordination with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies, or non-governmental organizations.
โข Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, or other vulnerable groups is an advantage.
โข Prior work experience with international or national humanitarian organizations, NGOs, or government institutions in a multi-cultural environment is desirable.
โข Basic knowledge of migration-related topics, particularly social cohesion and labour market integration, is an advantage.
โข Experience in supporting organization of trainings, workshops, or capacity building activities, including logistical and administrative arrangements.
โข Familiarity with UN or donor-funded project procedures is an asset.
โข Good knowledge of MS Office applications and ability to maintain databases and records.
Languages
- Fluency in Turkish and English is required. IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
