Job Description: Project Assistant

Position Overview:

The Project Assistant will play a key role in supporting the implementation of emergency response activities and ensuring effective Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) processes. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Project Implementation:

▪ Support the planning and execution of emergency response activities in accordance with project objectives and timelines.

▪ Coordinate logistics, procurement, and administrative tasks related to project implementation.

▪ Facilitate communication and coordination among project team members and partners.

Reporting:

▪ Prepare timely and accurate project reports, including narrative, financial, and MEAL-related sections.

▪ Ensure compliance with donor requirements and internal reporting deadlines.

▪ Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of project achievements, lessons learned, and best practices.

Coordination and Communication:

▪ Liaise with project stakeholders, including government authorities, community leaders, and partner organizations.

▪ Maintain regular communication with the project team to provide updates on progress, challenges, and achievements.

▪ Coordinate with other departments within the organization to ensure alignment and synergy with broader organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Skills:

▪ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, humanitarian assistance, social sciences).

▪ Previous experience working in emergency response or humanitarian projects is highly desirable.

▪ Strong understanding of MEAL concepts, methodologies, and tools. ▪ Excellent analytical and report writing skills.

▪ Proficiency in data management and analysis software. ▪ Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.

▪ Fluency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of other languages relevant to the project area is an asset.

▪ Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Duration and Location:

The Project Assistant position is expected to be for 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on funding availability and performance. The position will be based in Lebanon with frequent field visits to project sites as required.
