Internal and external candidates will be considered for this vacancy. ย  Context

The International Organization for Migration โ€“ Office in Greece (IOM) in cooperation with the General Secretariat for Vulnerable Persons and Institutional Protection (GSVPIP) of the MoMA and with the overall support of the National Center for Social Solidarity (EKKA), aims to provide support and specialized services to victims of trafficking (VoT) in human beings who are third-country nationals (TCN) and reside in Greece, with a special focus on facilitating their integration.

Through the project \"Staff training seminars and skills development sessions to support victims of trafficking in human beings with a view to their reintegration\", IOM will provide trainings for front-line staff working at reception facilities, shelters, or other specialized facilities aiming to equip them with necessary competencies that would allow them to address VoT protection needs. In addition, EKKA will receive technical support through the appointment of experts supporting counter-trafficking activities under the National Referral Mechanism (NRM). Meanwhile, VoTโ€™s efforts to integrate into the Greek community will be facilitated through in-kind support, aiming to help them access educational, employability, vocational training and other integration opportunities. Finally, shelters, sites and other facilities assisting VoT will be provided with support including equipment in line with their needs that will enable them to improve their living conditions.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) in Greece, and the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for supporting the coordination of the projectโ€™s activities.

1.Provide assistance to the Project Coordinator as needed throughout the project lifecycle, supporting with the implementation of all project activities.ย 

2. Support in preparation of project implementation reports and other types of information related to the project, to be regularly shared with the relevant stakeholders and donor. ย

ย 3. Liaise with different internal organizational units (e.g. supply chain management, finance, HR, etc.) to initiate requests related to their areas of expertise and follow up on the implementation of necessary actions.

4. In cooperation with NRM and in line with the projectโ€™s activities

  • Work closely with the seconded staff to EKKA on the day-to-day activities of the projectย 
  • Organize and deliver training sessions in the field of protection, in particular on the human trafficking, to front-line workers (border guards, site managers, case workers, psychologists, interpreters, etc.).
  • Take part in the modification of the training material if necessary and prepare the draft of the lessons report.ย 
  • Assist in the production of information material for the trainings.
  • Assist in the assessment of the most appropriate in-kind support to VoT, in cooperation with the collaborating bodies.ย 
  • Assist in the implementation of the targeted interventions to VoT shelters.
  • Assist, as needed, in the information sessions to stakeholders regarding the project.

    5. Undertake duty travel relating to project implementation.ย 

    6. Perform other related duties as assigned.ย 

    Education
    • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Social Work, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with one years of relevant professional experience; or,
    • High School Diploma with at least three years of relevant professional experience.ย  Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย  Experience
      • Knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization, with special focus on the protection of Victims of Trafficking is considered an advantage;
      • Experience in working with migrants and refugees focusing particularly on victims of trafficking and their special protection needs.
      • Experience in organizing and delivering trainings
      • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage;
      • Experience in liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities as well as with international institutions. Skills
        • Strong organizational, facilitation, communication, writing and presentations skills;
        • Computer literacy in standard software applications (MS Office, etc). Languages

          Fluency in Englishย and Greekย (written and oral) is required.ย  IOMโ€™s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
