ย Context
Under the overall supervision of Head of Programmes and direct supervision of the Project Manager (Migration Environment and Climate Change); and in collaboration with relevant units, the Project Assistant will provide support on the implementation of allย programmesย at IOM Rwanda.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities in collaboration with relevant units;
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information.ย ย
- Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor.ย
- Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other forms of documentation.ย
- Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.ย
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.

- Bachelorโs degree in Economics, International Relations, Development, Law, Political or Social Sciences, or a related field from an accredited academic institution of relevant professional experience with three (3) years of relevant experience Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- At least one year of professional experience in the field of logistics, inventory management and/or implementation of project activities in the field;
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage Skills

- For this position, fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is required (oral and written).
