Description
Programme Coordinator in the Strategy, Programme and Coordination Office in the Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes.
If selected for this position, you will coordinate the FutureEO programme and will play an integral role in its potential evolution in relation to other ESA Earth Observation programmes. The FutureEO programme is the backbone of R&D in the ESA Earth Observation (EO) domain and accompanies the development of Earth science missions through their entire lifecycle, from early technology-supporting activities up to mission selection, implementation and operations, and finally provides support to the EO user communities so that the resulting data, feedback and lessons learned can be used for future missions.
Because the associated activities are implemented across the four departments within the EO Directorate, the organisational environment of FutureEO requires a coordination function at Directorate level. At the request of the Director of Earth Observation Programmes, this function is provided by the Strategy, Programme and Coordination Office (EOP-C). You will thus report to the Head of EOP-C.

- planning and implementation of FutureEO programmatic reviews and ad hoc seminars;
- interaction at corporate level for planning and reporting purposes;
- supporting the preparation of PB-EO, workshops and Council meetings at ministerial level, including the drafting of legal documents and the development of a narrative to rally strong support from Member States to encourage subscriptions to the programme;
- providing similar support to other ESA EO programmes on an ad hoc basis as requested;
