    Background and Context

    The Liberia Country Office (CO) is transitioning from the second-generation Country Strategic Plan (CSP) to the third generation CSP. The office will develop a robust resilience framework to address the underlying causes of food insecurity in Liberia. This framework will enhance linkages with its own and partnersโ€™ programme interventions for maximum impact. Key initiatives include:

    Connecting to various social protection programmes; Linking emergency response to safety nets such as social cash transfers; Integrating smallholder farmers into the home-grown school feeding programme; Implementing climate services like climate-smart agriculture; Providing capacity development and technical assistance to the government.

    These aims will align with the National Agricultural Development Plan (NADP) and similar social protection policies and programmes. The goal is to support the government in designing and implementing flexible and scalable integrated food systems.

    To provide effective specialized support and technical analyses to policy and programme activities that effectively meet Improve Nutrition and Health , Enhance Educational Outcomes, Support Local Agriculture, Support Local Agriculture and Empowering communities.
