The Strategy & Insights team guides quality, insights-driven prioritization, and learning across PSI, ensuring we are โ€œdoing the right thingsโ€ even as we work on โ€œdoing things right.โ€ The team promotes best practice in program design, social and behavior change (SBC), research, learning, and strategy development, measurement and alignment. We work with PSI network members, partners and other Global Services teams to systematically capture, synthesize and share internal and external evidence, consumer and market insights, competitive market intelligence and program experience to guide global, market-level and program-level strategy. The team is made up of a diverse, fun, kind, and highly skilled group of professionals, and would offer the successful candidate opportunities to work across a wide range of PSIโ€™s projects and with a diverse set of country teams.

PSI seeks an Advisor II, Program Design that will provide leadership in assuring quality and excellence in program design across all departments and functions of the PSI network. The Advisor II, Program Design contributes to executing PSI's strategy by supporting the streamlining, development, and delivery of program design guidance and capacity strengthening to PSI's network to ensure high-quality execution of strategic opportunities. In addition, the Advisor II will provide technical assistance to strategically aligned initiatives implemented by programs and network members across all PSI health areas, to advance PSI's strategic interests. In this role, you will work closely with the Social and Behavior Change Sr. Advisor to synthesize strategic insights for global influencing and fundraising. Over time, you will set priorities with an increasing level of independence. Our ideal candidate will bring to the position strong relationship, program design, facilitation, and project management skills to deliver multiple, complex tasks collaboratively and efficiently.


Salary Range:
$86,000 (MINIMUM) - $108,000 (MID-POINT) - $130,000 (MAXIMUM)

Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as a candidateโ€™s qualifications, experience, internal equity, external market analysis, and other business factors permitted by law. Insights: Monitor in-market practices and global trends affecting PSI's global strategy. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of PSI's evolving portfolio of projects, with an understanding of strategic positioning. May support the design, execution, and evaluation of PSI's strategic programming. 35% of TimeCapacity strengthening: Identify needs, tailor or develop materials, and strengthen capacity of PSI staff at all appropriate levels to apply program design principles and tools to create and execute strategically aligned programming and organizational positioning. 25% of Time Program Management: Lead the execution of short-, medium-, and long-term department initiatives, including identifying key steps, developing workplans, and tracking the execution of these initiatives. 10% of TimeRepresentation: Develop collateral to represent PSI's program design work internally and externally. What are we looking for?

Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field.Masterโ€™s Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field preferred.At least 7 years of high-impact, related work experience. Equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted.Passion for driving strategic change in the interest of improved global health outcomes.Experience working in public health program design and implementation in an international context, preferably for social and behavior change or health systems strengthening programs.Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program design frameworks and methods.Experience providing technical assistance with minimal support to a broad organizational network.Experience designing and executing strategic planning, training, or creative design workshops for a diverse range of programs. Demonstrated expertise in facilitating such processes is required for success in this position. Ability to share knowledge internally and externally with communities of practice.Experience producing technical products and tools with minimal oversight and direction.Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external colleagues. Able to work as a member of a team and independently.Ability to lead development of technical approach for proposals, with oversight.Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.Demonstrate emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate with colleagues.Proficiency in Microsoft 365. Familiarity with quantitative or qualitative data analysis programs preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
