POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the establishment of Program across three sites in Jordan. The Program Assistant will support the overall implementation and program planning across the 3 sites, in close coordination with the Program Manager and the Program EL Coordinator.
The Program Assistant will provide logistical and procurement support for the program overall and will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the program across three sites in Jordan. S/he will ensure the program is implemented to the highest possible degree of quality and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Main duties in coordination with the Program Manager:
- Prepares the required procurement documents in line with Amideast's policies, procedures, and processes
- Maintains accurate and up to date filing and records in compliance with program requirements
- Communicates and coordinates frequently, accurately, and responsibly with Amideastโs office in Amman and regional program staff
- Supports processing and resolving any issues and billing related to housing
- Coordinates logistics and scheduling drivers for instructors to all three sites with the programโs drivers and instructors
- Collaborates closely with other Amideast departments, including regional experts, for support as needed
- Supports local and regional Amideast program staff in data collection within program indicators and M&E scope
- Assists Amideast staff in preparing statistical and narrative reports about the program and results
- Conducts background checks on prospective instructors
- Exhibits behavior and communications that reflect Amideastโs goals of strengthening partnerships and understanding with our partners and beneficiaries
- Follows Amideastโs standard operating procedures
- Performs any other Amideast work-related duties requested by the Program Manager and/or Country Director, including supporting in the task load of other departments as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in education, English language, or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience including at least 2 years of English language training experience plus experience in training program administration
- Previous experience in working on donor-funded programs is preferable
- Dependable and professional
- Knowledge of the American culture, education, and society is preferable
- Knowledge of English language teaching methods and materials is a plus
- Cultural exchange experience is preferable
- Proficiency in English is C1 and above(CEFR Level Alignment)
- Proficiency in Arabic, Native Speaker
- Advanced computer literacy in MS Office
- Must possess advanced interpersonal skills such as strategic thinking, time management, prioritizing responsibilities, problem-solving, cross-cultural understanding, conflict resolution, and excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The incumbent in this position will work in a professional office environment and will utilize the following equipment when working from the corporate office or remote home office (either on a full time, temporary, or hybrid basis).

Up to 50% business travel inside Jordan may be needed to support the Program as needed.
