About the job

This position is part of the consortium management structure for the project โ€œPathways to Protectionโ€ (P2P). The project is led by the Danish Refugee Council in consortium with the Danish Red Cross and the International Detention Coalition, covers 10 different countries and includes 23 local partners. The P2P consortium partnerships coordinator will serve as focal point for Danish Refugee Councilโ€™s partnerships with local partners and work closely with the RCRC partnerships coordinator to lead the localisation model and strategy of the consortium..

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

Governance and strategy

Lead the localisation model of the P2P in close coordination with the Chief of Party and the RCRC Partnerships Coordinator, DRC HQ, local partners members of the P2P

Lead the sustainability strategy of the P2P in close coordination with the Chief of Party, the RCRC Partnerships Coordinator, IDC, local partners members of the P2P in close coordination with DRC HQ, DRC ROs and DRC COs

Ensure an overall P2P inclusive governance through inclusive bodies (such as steering committee) and dedicated bodies (such as Local Partners Advisory Group) with the RCRC Partnerships Coordinator and the Chief of Party

Support the Chief of Party with P2P business development inclusive of localisation

Identify new partnership opportunities for P2P in close collaboration with CMU members, DRC COs and DRC ROs

Partnerships management and support

Support and advise the Danish Refugee Councilโ€™s country offices in their partnerships approach and process with local partners โ€“ local NGOs/CSOs, duty bearers and private sector

Develop necessary tools and process to support the localisation approach of the P2P for all DRC Country Offices

Put in place, support and monitor capacity development tools, mechanisms and opportunities with DRC Country Offices and directly with local partners aligned on DRC global guidance

Act as main focal point for three local partners: 2 based in Senegal and 1 based in Morocco. Ensure all CMU members are mobilized to support them

Work closely with the Protection and Migration technical advisor to ensure adequate programming and alignment of local partnersโ€™ implementation with the overall P2P technical and programme framework

Support any member of the P2P consortium โ€“ including MMC and diaspora โ€“ in set up, management and monitoring of their partnerships

Grants and agreements

Maintain comprehensive partner report tracker and communication with partners around reporting deadlines โ€“ monthly, quarterly, annually, any other relevant

Work with the Grants Specialist and the Finance and Administration Manager to ensure that partnership tools and financial standards meet donor requirements and allow for adaptation and flexibility and advocate for these changes at country and donor level

Ensure partners have correct templates, understand quality standards for reporting

Provide review of partner reports, offering supportive guidance and feedback to partner organizations in close collaboration with DRC Country Offices

Coordinate closely with the MEAL coordinator to ensure local partners have access to existing MEAL tools and support as well as partners have the capacity to report on target quarterly

Issue agreement modification for amendments including increases, budget realignments, and no-cost extensions as needed

Support any member of the P2P consortium โ€“ including MMC and diaspora โ€“ to develop, update or modify their sub-grant agreements with local partners.

Representation

Actively participate in any relevant coordination mechanisms for P2P (internal and external)

Represent the CMU if requested in public fora, with donors and in workshops on the specific localisation and partnership thematic

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to have at least five years of professional experience in a relevant field, preferably in an NGO or humanitarian actor.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

Three years' experience preferred with programme management and proven organizational skills

Three yearsโ€™ experience engaging with national partners and local/government authorities

Demonstrated experience in training and coaching

Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment with competing priorities, tight deadlines, and in a complex emergency context

Experience in one or several countries of intervention โ€“ above all in West Africa and/or Central Africa is an added value

Experience in protection and/or migration programming is an added value

University degree in a relevant field such as international development and humanitarian. assistance, political science, or other related field

Training related to partnership management, localisation, capacity development, etc. are an added value

Excellent writing, editing and communications skills in English and in French are required.

Arabic is an added value
