The Operations Coordinator will lead the internal coordination between departments and will ensure the smooth operation of the organization with regards to HR, finances, IT, and Communications. The position oversees the communication flow within the organisation and is regularly communicating with all parts of the organisation on various topics.
Coordination: Lead monthly staff meetings and additional interdepartmental meetings; ensure that all remote staff connect and collaborate with relevant departments in their work; support the flow of information to the Board of Directors.
IT/Communications: Maintain and develop online file-sharing system; manage all staff email addresses;
Administration: Support the Executive Director and the Board of Directors as necessary; support with making travel arrangements; support with staff management as necessary;
Human resources: responsible for all HR functions including new staff recruitment, onboarding, ensuring staff files are up to date;
Financial: Budgeting for projects, processing expense reimbursements,
Skills and Experience Required for the Role
Experience in organizational administration, management, and coordination in the non-profit sector desired.
Knowledge and understanding of human rights, human trafficking, and/or international sport preferred.
Experience of working autonomously and exercising judgement.
Excellent analytical, organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working proficiency in English required; proficiency in French desired.
This position is open to candidates with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
Available to work 10 - 20 hours per week (according to workload).
Open to candidates from any location as work will be conducted remotely.
This is a part-time unpaid volunteer position.
