About this position
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and creative Multimedia Communications Senior Associate/Associate, to conceive, produce, edit, and deliver multimedia content, particularly short-form videos, animations, infographics, and graphics for social media.
You will work with the digital, corporate, and executive communications teams and leaders and experts across the IDB as part of the Digital Team within the Communications Division in the Knowledge, Innovation and Communication Sector.
Enhancing our institutional communicational capacity and efforts in the Communications Division, is a business priority for the Inter-American Development Bank, to better position the brand, reputation, and the impact of the Institutionโs work in the Region. The Communications Division team is responsible for the design and implementation of IDBโs strategic communicationsโ plans, offering advice, expertise, and tools for dissemination and communication planning and execution, to position IDBโs brand, work, and development opportunities in the Latin American and Caribbean Region with internal and external partners. In addition, it provides guidelines and advisory support on the standards of use of the corporate brand, internal communication activities, the external feedback system, and manages all communication channels including digital platforms, editorial content, and relations with the media, as well as the IDB community relations program.
What youโll do:
Collaborate with the digital, corporate, and executive communications teams to create and distribute multimedia content, focusing primarily on short-form videos and graphics for IDB's web, email, and social media platforms. Produce, edit, and deliver finalized videos, and other multimedia content. Shoot video with various cameras including DSLR, high quality camcorder, etc.; write scripts, edit videos, write posts, and post videos to social channels. Collaborate with communicators and engagement team leaders to formulate strategies aligned with IDB's core institutional priorities. Take charge of multimedia production, editing, and posting, analyze metrics, and lead audience growth strategies. Coordinate and manage video shoots and audio recordings, providing real-time coaching to participants and addressing technical issues. Lead and support IDB events, covering live, digital, and hybrid formats, into engaging multimedia content. Ensure adherence to brand standards, maintaining quality and consistency across all multimedia products. Stay updated on emerging technologies that enhance video and audio storytelling. Supervise the work of external vendors as necessary. Collaborate with the digital team on the development and management of external email communications, including newsletters and invitations.
What you'll need
Advanced knowledge of Mac OS and Adobe Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Media Encoder, Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
Advanced knowledge of video editing and production including: Wirecast & OBS for live productions ReStream Final Cut
Social media management platforms including:
SproutSocial
Social Studio
Hootsuite
Working knowledge of Audition, DaVinci, and other common 3rd party software is a plus.
Experience with codecs, image types, resolutions frame rates as they pertain to digital media trends.
Strong sense of narrative and storytelling skills.
Flexibility to adapt with changing timelines and deliverables.
Experience with designing and laying in GFX/VFX.
Proven knowledge of Adobe Premiere to balance and grade color and mix and level audio.
Strong attention to detail, organized, and task oriented.
Photography and/or design skills.
Experience with website editing, design, and Drupal platforms is a plus.
Education: Bachelorโs Degree in Video Production or similar field. Masterโs degree is strongly recommended.
Experience: 7 years or more of experience in the field.
Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Requirements
Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents. Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration
International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
