About Voluntฤs (Latin: will, goal, purpose, meaning)
Voluntas was created from the fundamental belief that all human beings have the inherent right to live a meaningful life. That is why we exist: To realize human potential in all corridors of life โ making every workplace, community, and country on the planet full of hope and dignity. We specialize in providing meaningful advisory services to international organizations, companies, foundations, UN agencies, and NGOs. We use our insights to inform fact-based recommendations and policy options grounded in extensive research and data collection. We also work to understand how organizations can improve their efficiency and performance by enhancing the feeling of meaningful work of their employees. Our goal is to have a positive, sustainable impact on individuals across the globe with a focus on populations affected by crisis to improve their living standards and access to rights.
We have a permanent presence in ten countries, with ongoing projects in Asia, Europe, East and North Africa, the Middle East, and Ukraine. To date, we have implemented over 160 projects with partners including UN agencies, the EU, USAID, and international NGOs globally. Our projects focus on policy and programming, needs assessments, learning, sustainability, perception studies, contextual analysis, and monitoring and evaluation. We work on thematic areas such as the environment and climate change, conflict resolution, employment, food security, gender, governance, human rights, migration, political economy, prevention of violent extremism, public health, WASH, and youth.
In Kenya, following the launch of our East Africa regional office earlier this year, we are seeking a highly motivated individual based in Nairobi to support our monitoring and evaluation projects as an Associate. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation and/or research projects with an international organization, research institute, consultancy, or university.

Your Responsibilities
- Managing projects in close collaboration with Voluntas colleagues and external partners
- Participating in methodology design (including scoping, sampling, instrument development, and analytical frameworks)
- Leading log frame reviews, monitoring activities, research, analysis, and reporting
- Drafting and presenting clear policy and/or program recommendations for high-level clients
- Acting as a focal point with our local partners and key stakeholders
- Supporting the coordination of data collection
- Supporting business development
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff based across different offices
- Carrying out field visits to project activities and participate in field meetings with partners

- Masters in economics, political science, sociology, international development, law, or relevant field
Advantages
- Proven experience in supporting monitoring and evaluation activities as part of larger bi- and multilateral donor programs
- Demonstrated experience with data management and/or statistical analysis software (SPSS, STATA, or R)
- Knowledge of research methods for social science (sampling, weighting, data cleaning and management, descriptive statistics, inference analysis)
- Familiarity with data visualization (Excel, Tableau, or PowerBI)
