Job Summary

M&L Officer provides support to the Monitoring and Learning Section in the conduct of monitoring and learning activities which supports the Strategy Team and the International programs. The M&L Officer will work closely with the Strategy Team, Technology team, and the International team to help monitor the program implementation and the reporting. The Officer will support the M&L Manager in managing day-to-day M&L tasks and providing support to ensure effective project implementation.

Typical Day

M&L Officer will be tasked to help in implementing the M&L Standard Operating Procedure. He/She will assist in conducting quality assurance of the monitoring data, dashboard creation, development of monitoring tools, and documentation of learning and review activities. He/She will also develop reports for the different programs which may include projects from other countries.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

General

  1. 2 or 4 year course with a minimum of 2 years experience in data-related monitoring and evaluation or project management.
  2. Experience with Excel
  3. Desire to learn, and be teachable
  4. Ability to learn/teach yourself

Technical

  1. Very detail-oriented and able to see mistakes and errors in data and templates and suggest improvements.
  2. Ability to manage, track and report on program data; proficiency with Excel in monitoring and analyzing data.
  3. Understand how data is collected and maintain key tenants (duplicates, quality, etc.) of data
  4. Connect and make dashboards in data visualization tool (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView)
  5. Able to update and maintain a preload
  6. Understand processes, data collection, etc.
  7. Experience working with data, for data cleaning, duplication, and review
  8. Ability to create and give clear, and concise presentations of projects and training
  9. Strong writing and communication skills both in Filipino and English
  10. Ability to understand processes, and process flow maps
  11. Knowledge of Electronic Data collection tools.
