Your responsibilities

As a Mechanical Technician, you will join the Accelerator Systems Department (SY). Within this department, the Modulators, Klystrons & High-Gradient Structures (MKS) team manages the installation and operation of klystrons and related infrastructure for several accelerators at CERN.

In this position, you will:

Assist with the management of physical assets like spares, manufacturing parts and testing equipment; Managing the relocation of material;Support with defining and integrating each asset on the CERN management system as well as physically storing the parts;Defining the procedures for maintenance of the stock.

Your profile

Skills and/or knowledge

Experience with the assembly of mechanical structures and equipment;Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management; Knowledge of quality management; Fluent in French, the ability to work in English would be an advantage.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Quality Management, Logistiks, Mechanics (or a related field) by the application deadline.Your highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Applicants with a Bachelorโ€™s, Masterโ€™s or PhD degree are not eligible.

This position requires:

Work in Radiation Areas.Interventions in underground installations.A valid driving licence.
