Position:

As Monitoring and Evaluation for Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Facilitator you will be responsible for qualitative and quantitative MEAL measurement, evaluations, and data analysis. You are also co-responsible for implementing and strengthening Dorcasโ€™ MEAL system.

Given that MEAL is integral to every department engaged in the program management cycle, your role entails safeguarding the optimal use and benefits of the MEAL system while also ensuring that it effectively contributes value to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • MEAL advice and practical assistance for your colleagues in our country offices and at the international office level.
  • Support of MEAL strategic annual planning and MEAL activities implementation.
  • Develop and measure the Theory of Change and Result Frameworks.
  • Facilitate and support MEAL in all phases of the programme management cycle from design, implementation and monitoring through to final evaluation and ending whilst ensuring continuous learning.
  • Develop survey forms in Kobo, analyse and visualise the data collected.
  • Represent the organisation in relevant networks, make connections, and introduce new knowledge and ideas in the organisation.
  • Facilitate and support country and international office colleagues in performing MEAL activities and strengthen their capacity in use of the MEAL system.

Your Profile:

  • You have a bachelorโ€™s degree or higher preferably in the field of relief or development.
  • You have multi-year experience in Monitoring and Evaluation at international relief and development organisations.
  • You are experienced in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. preferably with experience in Outcome Mapping and Qualitative Impact Protocol (QuIP).
  • You are experienced in conducting (need and asset) assessments, survey form design, and data collection.
  • You are proactive, flexible, innovative, culturally sensitive, as well as strong in planning and organising while enjoying working within a diverse team.
  • You are fluent in verbal and written English. Command of Dutch is welcome, but not essential.
  • You are willing to travel one to three weeks per trip to our country offices (a few times per year).
